In The Know: Floral Print

The best part about summer fashion is the bright colors and bold prints. Floral patterns and bright reds have been my favorite themes this summer.

I’m always been a very standard black, white, grey wardrobe type of girl. The only color I would consider on a rare occasion was light pink or maybe a light blue. However, red has completely taken over my wardrobe this summer.

I am loving bold red dresses which are perfect for a day in town or a night out. Along with this rompers with red roses have become a go-to when looking for something fun and flirty to wear.

Embroidered denim has been another one of my favorite trends this summer. Denim jackets, to skirts and shorts, look amazing with embroidery.

And all that embroiled denim can be perfectly paired with a flow off the shoulder top. (The more floral the better!)

We also can’t forget about shoes and accessories. The pattern can be spotted everywhere this season!

Trend Alert: Flat Mules

Currently I am loving the flat mule shoe trend. Flat mules have been revamped since the 90’s and this spring/summer you can spot just about every celebrity and blogger across the country rocking a pair.

For those of you who don’t know. “Mule,” is a French word that refers to a backless shoe. The current modern flat mule trend is an open back shoe without the high heel.

Dozens of designers have taken a stab at designing a new and modern flat mule. Gucci is one designer that has designed some eye catching mules. My favorite is the sparkly pair shown in the board above.

Steven Madden has even designed a few pair of mules. They vary in colors and patterns.

Flat mules can be worn with anything this season! Skinny to boyfriend jeans and shorts to skirts; mules can complete any look!

Life By Lexie

Finding the motivation to work out can definitely be a struggle, but having the perfect outfit to workout in can really push your butt to the gym.

I recently connected with Lexie, the founder of a fun workout line for women called “Life by Lexie.” The workout line features dozens of tops with cute sayings perfect to motivate you to reach your fitness goal. Along with clothing, the line features cute accessories like sticky socks; which are perfect for barre classes.

I absolutely love my Life by Lexie tanks. My go-to is the “Leggings Are Pants” tank. It can be perfectly paired with a pair of black leggings (with mesh cut outs to spice up the look), sneakers, a pair of headphones and a s’well water bottle.

Life by Lexie apparel is so versatile. It can be worn out on a day running errands too! The “Coffee, Because Adulting Is Hard” tank can be paired with a pair of black ripped jeans and fashion sneakers. Don’t forget to grab your tote bag and jean jacket before heading out the door.

Grammy’s 2017 Best Dressed

The 2017 Grammy’s Red Carpet was by far one of the best. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised by every dress that was seen down the carpet. There was a ton of uniquely styled dresses this year, everything from Tom Ford to Gucci made an appearance. Here are the best dressed celebs of the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.

Although my roommate compared Rihanna’s attire to a spider, I was in awe. The giant puffy skirt was very unique, and of course Rihanna kills it with a bright orange top.

Katy Perry:

At first I was a bit confused by Katy’s look, but after watching her memorial interview I realized only Katy would be able to pull off this look. Oh and the new hair color is gorgeous. I think I’m loving the blonde more than the blue California Girls’ wig.

Jennifer Lopez:

The sexy slit honestly just made my girl crush for Jen increase immensely. J-Lo looked absolutely stunning in this dress. She crushed the red carpet strutting down in a gorgeous pair of Christian Louboutins.

Carrie Underwood:

Carrie is literally #goals. If anyone could rock a dress on the red carpet without blending in it would be her. She literally stood out.

Heidi Klum:

Heidi’s dress was very simple, however can we talk about how amazing she looks. Side note for those of you who did not know; Heidi is 43 and still can pull off a tight, short dress. AH-MAZING. Seriously.

Chrissy Teigen:

Chrissy looked so gorgeous in this patterned look. The fringe bottom was a unique touch, while the side cutouts make the dress super sexy yet sleek.

Kelsea Ballerini:

I honestly had no idea who Kelsea was until I saw her on the Red Carpet. However, aside from not knowing, I instantly fell IN LOVE with her dress. The floral design is chic and fun!
